Open Position - Associate Designer

The Jones Studio is looking for an Associate Designer

with experience in high end residential architecture &

design to join our team. This is a full-time salaried

position with competitive compensation, based on

experience and other relevant factors. The ideal

candidate is a creative, detail-oriented person with

strong aesthetic taste who desires to grow their career

inside a thriving boutique design studio. This position

offers a unique opportunity to contribute & collaborate

across all stages of project development, from initial

architectural concept through full service interior

design. Candidates must have 1-5 years experience

in the industry, with knowledge of AutoCAD and

Adobe (familiarity with Studio Designer is a plus). A

genuine passion for design and architecture is

essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS

  1. Design & support for Architecture and Interiors

    projects.

  2. Graphics / Communications / Administrative Support

  3. Client Relations - Correspondence /

    Communications

  4. Procurement & Purchasing for Interiors Projects

    • Perform architectural & design assignments

      with excellent graphics standards.

    • Assist with the production and delivery of

      high quality presentation materials and

      documentation.

    • Interiors selections and schedules for client

      approvals and presentations.

    • Procurement, purchasing and tracking of soft

      goods for interiors projects

    • Team and individual responsibility to meet

      project deadlines.

    • Daily communication with project team

      members to provide status updates.

    • Manage time in an effort to maximize

      productivity.

    • Maintain and build client relationships

      emphasizing high quality standards for

      customer service and follow through.

    • Project oriented support - scanning, copying,

      formatting in Adobe Suites, and

      administrative tasks in support of project

      goals

    • Willingness to work independently and as part

      of the team to produce high quality work in a

      creative and enterprising environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-5 years experience is required.

  • Bachelors degree in an allied field with project

    exposure in various aspects of architectural or

    interior design practice.

  • Strong organizational skills and good written/verbal

    communication skills required.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign,

    Photoshop, Auto Cad; familiarity with knowledge of

    construction documentation.

  • Must be able to work well independently and as part

    of the team to produce high quality work; and have

    high quality standards for customer service. 

  • Flexibility and the willingness to manage multiple

    duties on a daily basis is necessary. 

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers

    license.
